How our partnership began
Credo was exploring entry into the IAM space as identity becomes increasingly important in security, AI, and a digital world that is moving faster than ever. Credo identified Fortytwo as a strategic entry point to the Nordic IAM market and maintained close dialogue with the founders for twelve months, culminating in an exclusive process and closing in August 2025.
Recent results
Just two months after closing, Fortytwo has already entered Finland and has significantly strengthened both its leadership team, by hiring a CFO, CMO, HR Director, and its operating team with several tier 1 hires.
A key growth area for Fortytwo is the acceleration of managed services and products built on top of Microsoft’s ecosystem. Since closing, the company has launched Check-ID across the Nordics, a passwordless onboarding solution for Microsoft applications using Vipps, BankID, or ID-porten. This was launched in record time, fuelled by Fortytwo’s effective product development cycle, paving the way for several more product launches in the near future.
How we see the future
Demand for secure and efficient IAM solutions continues to grow, driven by technological development, increased security threats, and AI adoption with new identity-related use cases. Identity is at the core of modern zero-trust architectures, and delivering seamless management of non-human identities at scale will be essential for enterprise AI adoption at scale. The Microsoft ecosystem will play a significant role in this evolution. With technology expertise as its backbone, Fortytwo is ready to accelerate through organic growth as well as selected add-on acquisitions of smaller, high-quality tech environments.
